The Young Professionals Program is an initiative designed for young professionals who wish to gain work experience abroad. This program is part of the International Experience Canada (IEC) and is aimed at citizens of countries that have bilateral agreements with Canada. It allows participants to work in their professional field in Canada for a specified period, facilitating the exchange of knowledge and skills between countries.

You have a job offer in Canada that contributes to your professional development.

You will work for the same employer in the same location during your stay in Canada.

Requirements

Remuneration

The job must be paid and not self-employed.

Work Permit

You will receive an employer-specific work permit.

Compliance

Your employer must comply with all labor laws in the province or territory where you plan to work, including minimum wage requirements.

Job Criteria

The job must contribute to your professional development.

It must be classified under TEER category 0, 1, 2, or 3 of the NOC.

TEER 4 jobs may qualify if they are in your field of study.
