Do I need to be fully vaccinated to travel within Canada?

If you plan to travel to Canada soon, it is important to know the requirements of the Canadian government regarding vaccination.

That ‘s right. The federal government has announced that as of October 30, anyone (passengers and workers) who wish to travel by air from any airport within Canada, passengers on VIARail and Rocky Mountaineer trains and all those cruise passengers that last more than 24 hours, must be fully vaccinated.

It is also announced that there will be a period of “grace” or “transition” for those people who are in their own vaccination processes. This will consist of showing a Negative PCR test before boarding, however, by November 30 the rules will be much stricter.

It is important to know that these measures apply not only to passengers, but also to workers and cabin crew. Otherwise, they will not be able to fulfill their duties and could face fines of CAD 5,000 onwards.

Remember that the vaccines authorized by Health Canada are Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Moderna and Janssen. We invite you to constantly read the updates of Travel Restrictions Canada at the following link: https://travel.gc.ca/travel-covid
