TRES COSAS

3 Things you should know if you are thinking of immigrating to Canada

Building a life project in another country entails a set of challenges and situations different from those we are used to living in ours and with our people. This involves changing in many aspects of our lives: behaviors, mindset, disposition, and patience.

That is why I have been learning based on my experience and that I want to share with you so that you prepare yourself mentally if you want to take the big step of emigrating to a first world country like Canada.

1. Canada is not a perfect country:

While it was rated in 2021 as the best country in the world according to its excellent quality of life, education and economy, it is important that you know that it is not a perfect country. However, most of his things are very positive. For example, although the health system is universal, therefore it is free, waiting times can be long when surgery is required or being seen by a specialist, etc.

2. You must have an open mind and change your chip:

Keep in mind that Canada is a multicultural country, therefore, you will meet people from all over the world. This implies that everyone will have their own different beliefs, customs, traditions and accents. Respecting and accepting these differences will be essential to have a good coexistence in your new social and work life. In addition, in Canada you can find that there are practices that are legal and that in our countries are not, that is why you must have an open mind and be willing to live in difference. For example: the legalization of marijuana, equal marriage, the legalization of euthanasia, among others.

3. Language is essential to have a better quality of life:

It is important to know that for most immigration programs, it is a requirement to have English and/or French. Although you may hear different testimonies from people who have lived in Canada for a long time, mastering the English language in the English-speaking provinces or French in the province of Québec or New Brunswick will be essential for you to have a better quality of life, since you will not depend on a translator on your cell phone or another person to help you. In addition, it will help you find better job opportunities for your personal growth. It will also be essential to achieve your Permanent Residence.

Just as our main objective is to provide you with an excellent immigration strategy, we also want your experience living in Canada to be enjoyable.
