5 Things you have to do in Toronto

Living in Canada’s largest city is a box full of surprises. In my last year I have had the opportunity to visit different places and exhibitions. And what I have yet to see ! That’s why here are some of my favorite things to do in Toronto:Visit Distillery District: It is a historic pedestrian place where you can walk between old and picturesque buildings that house restaurants, clothing stores, and even an art museum. But why is it so important? Because many years ago it was the whiskey distillery that propelled and turned Toronto into the economic hub it is today. The best time to visit is during Christmas!

Watch the sunset in Riverdale Park: It is located along the border between East York and Downtown Toronto. It is a fairly extensive park where you can do different activities at all times of the year: from a picnic in the summer to sliding on a board on the snow. But the special thing about this park is to be able to visualize how the sun hides behind the buildings, skyscrapers and the CN tower.

Visit the Toronto Islands during the summer: It is the ideal plan to do alone, with friends or with your partner. Take the water taxi for only $ 8 CAD. You can cross the lake and enjoy this special island, full of green areas, beaches, parks for children, etc. It also has different restaurants in the area.

Walking around Yonge-Dundas Square: You’ll feel like you’ll be in the Big Apple of New York  but with a Canadian twist. It is the most famous corner of Toronto, covered with screens, buildings and one of the largest shopping malls: the Eaton Centre. This corner will make you feel amazed and full of dreams.

Visit the Royal Ontario Museum: Located in Downtown Toronto, for just $23 CAD (approximately) you can travel back in time in one place. It is one of the best museums I have visited, because you are  welcomed by a great dinosaur remnant that will leave you with your mouth open. It is a journey from the origins of animals, humans, Eastern and Western cultures. Tip: go with comfortable shoes, because the route that awaits you is not short. But it will be totally worth it!

Changing your status from a visitor to a worker in Canada

Changing visitor status to worker in Canada involves a process with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). This allows visitors to apply for a work permit without leaving the country, as long as they meet certain requirements, such as having valid visitor status and a job offer from a Canadian employer. The process includes applying online, submitting biometrics, and maintaining legal status while awaiting a response. Seeking professional assistance is recommended to avoid errors and ensure a successful application.
