Mississauga is a large Canadian city neighbouring Toronto on Lake Ontario. With a population of 717,961 as of 2021, Mississauga is the seventh-most populous municipality in Canada, third-most in Ontario, and second-most in the Greater Toronto Area after Toronto itself.
It has become a sought after city for various reasons. I am going to give you the top 3 reasons why I love living in Mississauga.
1. Its’ proximity to Toronto
Toronto has it all making it one of Canada’s most chosen city’s for new immigrants. However, the traffic, cost of living, and city life is not something I desire. Hence why I have opted to live in Mississauga. It is truly the best of both worlds. It is big enough to feel like a city while still providing a suburban lifestyle.
It is 20 minutes away from the airport and offers easy access to other major cities through public transportation.

According to the recent census. The city is one of the most diverse in the country. Most originating from India, China, Ireland, and Italy. The city even has a festival dedicated around its multiculturalism that occurs annually in May, known as Carassauga.
