Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for the FSWP, you must meet certain basic criteria:

You must have at least one year of continuous full-time paid work experience (or the equivalent in part-time). Skilled work experience means you have worked in one of these categories of the National Occupational Classification (NOC) TEER.

Language Skills

You need to demonstrate proficiency in English or French through recognized language tests such as IELTS or TEF. You must achieve a minimum level in all language skills (reading, writing, listening, and speaking).

Education

You must have a degree, diploma, or certificate equivalent to the Canadian educational level. Foreign credentials must be assessed through an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) to verify their equivalence in Canada.

Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) Score

Your profile will be assessed and you will be assigned a score based on factors such as age, education, work experience, language skills, and others. Candidates with the highest scores are invited to apply for permanent residence.
Based on your performance in each of the 6 factors, you will be assigned a total score out of 100.
The current minimum score to be eligible is 67 points.

CRS Score
