Going to Brunch on weekends has become a tradition for most Canadians and immigrants who adopt this custom. But first, you are probably wondering… What is a brunch? A brunch is a meal that simultaneously includes breakfast and lunch (Breakfast + Lunch = Brunch). This plan is usually made at a time close to noon, such as 11:00 AM.
Thanks to the popularity of this plan, many restaurants have emerged that only offer brunch-type meals on their menu. Usually, their dishes include eggs of different styles, bacon, hash browns, waffles, and sweet pancakes. The Brunch is generally accompanied by orange juice, cocktails, milkshakes, etc. It will depend on the variety of the menu and what you want at the time.
We had the opportunity to visit one of the most popular brunch restaurants in Toronto, called The Morning After. A place to spend alone, with friends or family, for the variety of options on its menu and it’s space outside called a patio that opens between May and October, where you can enjoy the summer weather. It was created in May 2019 by a young Canadian woman, thinking of a place to spend the “hangover” of the night before, and that’s where its name comes from: the morning after. Over time, her restaurant gained popularity for the taste of its dishes and for its friendly concept.
What caught my attention is that right behind the bar, they have a giant TV screen where they show animated movies all day, and the best thing is that they have a live DJ to set the mood for your stay in the restaurant.
On Saturday, we ordered one of their most famous dishes: b2 benny. It consists of 2 eggs Benedict, bacon, cheese, bread, fries, and arugula. For drinks, we chose their most famous cocktail: Mango Tango. And for dessert, we had red velvet pancakes topped with cream. It was a delicious choice, and we rate them a 10/10 in all aspects. The taste of the food, the customer service, the decoration, the ambiance, and the prices.

We love that they offer their meals at any time of the day within their established hours. In other words, you don’t have to go at “x” time to eat a particular food. So if you’re craving Brunch at 3:00 PM, you can enjoy it!
