This is one of the biggest questions when deciding which province and city to choose to start our project of studies in the country of the Maple leaf.
Although the provinces of Ontario and British Columbia are very popular for their wonderful cities like Toronto and Vancouver respectively, they will not always work in your immigration process if your goal is Permanent Residence.
To start your search, it is important to know that we must perform a detailed analysis of your profile.
But what does this mean? Each of us has a completely different case. And this will be defined from the following aspects:
- Age: Although it is not an impediment to study, it can be a determining factor when applying for your Permanent Residence, as some Express Entry/Provincial Nomination programs are usually more flexible than others in this aspect.
- Language level: Most provinces in Canada are English-speaking (English-speaking). The province of Québec is completely French-speaking, however, in the city of Montreal you will find that there are many bilingual people and study programs in English. The province of New Brunswick is the only officially bilingual province. The language is essential to study and we recommend that you prepare strongly with the language, since it is the main requirement to enter a study program, as your classes will be 100% in English or French. In addition, it is very important to keep in mind that if you know the language at an intermediate/advanced level, your chances of obtaining a job offer of a qualified job will be much higher.
- Previous studies: You must bear in mind that the minimum level of education required is high school or high school to enter a College or University. If you do not have previous undergraduate studies, you can choose a study program that is in accordance with your tastes, budget and the 2 factors mentioned above. If you already have previous studies, we suggest studying something related and of a higher level, for example: you have a bachelor’s degree in business (university career of 4-5 years), we recommend you to do a postgraduate study or Master’s degree related to business. A good option would be to study a Master of Business Administration. Having previous studies when emigrating can be a plus at the time of finding a job, since you already have previous knowledge. A key point here is knowing how to build your CV to make it eye-catching for a Canadian employer.

- Work experience: Work experience along with your academic career is a key factor in finding the ideal province, since certain occupations are more requested in some than in others. And in this the labor demand and the offer of the ideal job will vary that will lead you to reach the residence once you graduate from your study program.
Now that you take into account the previous points, do you think you will be able to find the ideal province to settle alone or with your family?
